Immediately after the TP. Ho Chi Minh stopped social isolation, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) has urgently accelerated the progress of new constructions and renovated electrical grids to meet the city’s electricity demand.
Many new constructions and improvements to the electricity grid, increasing the capacity of EVNHCMC’s key stations and key lines are expected to be completed in the first 6 months of 2020 to meet the city’s electricity demand. However, due to the effects of COVID-19 epidemic, construction work has to be temporarily halted.
Mr. Banh Duc Hoai – Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC said that the Corporation did not delay the progress of key projects due to epidemic reasons. Therefore, during the time of social isolation, when it was impossible to deploy construction personnel on the construction site, the Corporation switched to the remote working mode with appropriate parts of the work.
In particular, a series of key projects are still being implemented urgently during social isolation such as: 220kV Cat Lai – Tan Cang transmission line, 220-110kV Binh Tan – Cau Bong line, 110kV Phuoc transformer station. Immediately after the social gap ended, EVNHCMC immediately restarted the previously suspended projects. Many works have been focused on completing ahead of schedule, to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the Southern Liberation Day. Specifically, at the end of April 2020, the Corporation will complete and energize a number of works such as: Renewing 40MVA transformer at Tan Thuan 110kV station, increasing the power supply to Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, installing placed a T3 transformer of 220/110 kV Binh Tan station, AT5 transformer of 220/110 kV Hiep Binh Phuoc station. In addition, the works to renovate the 110kV line Thu Duc – An Khanh, Thu Duc – Xa Lo will be completed before April 30, 2 months ahead of schedule …
